I'm interesting in have a small hive in the garden, not so much for the honey, but to give them a home and help pollinate our fruit trees.
anyone have any experience?

Fleet Beekeepers have a stall at the Fleet Food Festival and the Fleet Pond Wildlife Day. They run courses for novice beekeepers

Only just registered here. I'm a member of Fleet & District Beekeepers, so if you haven't already (I know this thread is from May!), you're more than welcome to come along - now it's getting into the darker evenings we hold monthly meetings with a presentation on various topics. Each year the group runs a training course for new beekeepers - theory and then practical in our own training Apiary, and can usually help you then get started with a hive
