Please state if you live locally and travel to another town and would be willing to car share, lift share website is good, but it would be nice to have a locally growing group to help each other reduce the costs of travel.
let me know what you think.

Hello Andrew, we just moved into the area and having lived in an urban environment with very good public transport options we do not have a car. I'd be very happy to set up a car sharing scheme with people who might own a car they don't regularly need and would be happy to have others to share usage and costs with! My guess is that about 1/3 of the "second cars" are not moving most of the time - they basically serve to get the kids somewhere, do the shops etc. but are parked while people are working at home (or in the office). It would be great to find a handful of people to set up something that is a win-win for those with and without cars and integrates joint journeys (lifts). -Christiane

Hi Christiane,
Thanks for your post, great idea, would you be interested in seeing if we could get this started? If anyone else reading this post is also interested please let me know. We have a meeting tonight about transition, if you'd like to come you are more than welcome. A project we could start working with fleet future and see what other transition towns have done.
Apologies for not coming back sooner.
Cheers, Andrew
